Some really much needed steam off after a weird week, so I just chose to crank it up, grab my faithful solid body Cort CR 250 and stomp on my Boss DS-1 to honour one of my favourite songs from what probably is my favourite albums from Amorphis' Tomi Joutsen era: 2013's "Circle"
Often overlooked when compared with other albums from the same era such as the more recent "Queen Of Time", to me "Circle" is arguably one of Amorphis' top achievements.
In my book, this is one of the band's more balanced albums when it comes to achieve an equilibrium between their most agresssive and their more melodic sides, and I always thought it might have something to do with Peter Tägtgren's production.
Oh, and it also is one of these rare albums where the bonus tracks are up there in terms of quality with the official tracklist, and I still don't understand how a killer track such as "Dead Man's Dream" was left out.
It still is one of my favourite Amorphis songs ever.
In any case long story short, here is "The Wanderer" in a primitive version for your and my neighbourhood's delight.
