'Champion' Jack Dupree fought as a prizefighter after being encouraged by Joe Louis, before turning to the piano to earn a crust.
From the mid-sixties he lived in Halifax, West Yorkshire in England. "I'd rather have that piano than a wife. 'Cause that piano ain't goin' to leave me."
This track was recorded in Munich, September 1990, a couple of years before Jack Dupree died.
