Simple shallow water settings for Humminbird MEGA Live. In this video, I highlight a my simple MEGA Live forward facing sonar settings for shallow water. Forward facing sonar is a controversial subject in the fishing industry. I'm not sure why anglers are so emotional about it. You either use it, or you don't. I like forward facing sonar. It's a tool that helps me learn more about fish behavior, and ultimately catch more fish. I like to keep my settings simple. In shallow water of 6 feet deep or less, I set my forward distance to 60 - 65 feet. I set my sensitivity to 11 - 14, and contrast to 8 - 10. There are no perfect settings. I'll adjust these settings throughout the day from spot to spot.
