Leichhardt Bottles - URM 584

One Friday after work I managed to race my way over to Leichhardt to film the Hino / Garwoods URM runs for recycling. Usually each truck has 1 driver and 1 loader but because they where running 3/4 trucks an extra loader jumped on to help out. Leichhardt council does the Garbage, Green Waste, Clean Ups and Litter Bin services themselves while URM does the Bottles and Paper recycling collections. I’ll note they prefer bottles week over paper week due to less bins and less constant packing especially in the lane ways where your pressing the packer every 4 or so bins and loose your momentum.

I’d like to give a big thanks to the friendly crew for letting me follow along and film on their 3/4th load on a hot Friday. Anyone that watches Boxing may recognise one of the loaders too!
Also a big thanks to Seb / Inner West Garbo for telling me what area the trucks would be in! I plan to return to Inner West to film the paper collection soon!
