Deconstructing I've Got A Feeling - The Beatles Rooftop Concert (Isolated Tracks)

In my opinion the best song off of Let It Be. I've Got A Feeling is a pure Lennon McCartney collaboration with John contributing his song, "Everybody Had A Bad Year" to the latter half of Paul's "I've Got A Feeling". This happened in December 1968 before the Get Back sessions started on January 2nd, 1969 at Paul's home. Paul describing it as, "a shotgun wedding between my own 'I've Got A Feeling' and a piece John had written, called 'Everyone Had A Bad Year." The song was worked on throughout the Get Back sessions. However the song really came alive with the arrival of Billy Preston on January 22nd, 1969. After hearing Billy's contributions the group had come alive with John exclaiming "You're in the group!" after the ending of the take. Although many takes were recorded the version used on the final album came live from the Rooftop Concert on the 30th. Two takes were recorded on the Rooftop with the first being chosen by Phil Spector in March 1970. Of course 30 years later Paul Hicks, Guy Massey, and Allan Rouse would create a composite edit of both rooftop takes for Let It Be... Naked. Which for me just seemed a little unnecessary.

This features separated guitar and vocal isolations made from the 7.1 and 5.1 mix of the song. John's guitar has reverb in the beginning to get around the video being fully blocked. The drums have also been mixed in stereo. I've also synced the isolated parts to actual footage sourced from Get Back documentary, Let It Be film, and the Eight Days a Week documentary. Enjoy!
