When we searched for a sailboat that would fit our family while sailing around the world, I was specifically looking for a layout with bunks. This was a hard item to find in our price range. In my research I knew that many boats had been designed to have bunks as one of several layouts, so even if I couldn't find one with bunks, it could be converted. We are finally seeing that part of our dream come true as we build bunks on our boat.

Underneath them will be storage for tools and our house battery bank.
