Three women from South Korea, each surrounded by a set of percussion instruments, with the River Waal flowing in the background.
‘Groove’ stands for an irresistible drive, and the ‘&’ symbol represents infinite possibilities. This session was recorded during @MusicMeetingAllEars in Nijmegen.

The instruments they play are traditional, the very foundation of this music —but everything you hear is completely new.
In the center is Hagyeong Kim, striking the Kkwaeng-gwa-ri — a piercing gong, its name likely an echo of the sound it makes: 'kkwaeng-kkwaeng'.
Groove& shows a special side of the music from South Korea, that of the percussion, the beat, the groove with all their spectacular or just subtle subtleties.
