2017 Eagle Lake Crew Summer Adventure

Twelve hours of editing and 347 cuts later, I have finished this recap video of what I did for the first half of my summer.

What was my job?
My specific job was called "Activities Crew." Essentially, I served as an assistant counselor. Each week, I was assigned to a cabin of younger campers in hopes that I could really just invest into their lives by playing, talking, and living life with them for a week. It was also our job to work many of the beach activities so that the main counselors would be able to focus on hanging out with the campers. My purpose was to take the hard jobs so the counselors wouldn't have to while also trying to spread the Good News of Christ.

What is Crew?
Crew is a five week long intensive program designed for service, community, and growth. Located in the Rocky Mountains, this Christian camp, Eagle Lake Camp, houses the Crew program. The purpose is to essentially serve God whilst serving the camp through work such as serving food, cleaning, maintenance, and support. Technology such as phones and computers aren't allowed which allows for a focus on serving Christ.

Each weekend, there are a few days off where you spend time with each other as well as do a really cool activity as you will be able to see in the video.

Personally, Crew has changed my life. This was my fourth summer in a row to do this program and I wouldn't trade any of it for anything in the world.
