My home made cnc router. x=998mm, y=640mm, z=120mm. The overall length of the machine is 5 feet. My truck lives in the garage so I've built the router so it can fold up out the way using an electric caravan winch.
Im using an old Elu 1800w router & 3 nema-23 425 ounce/inch steppers, 1605 ballscrew & ballnuts. Uniport v2 b.board, 4.2A PM542 drivers, 43v 500w psu.
No problem running it with an old samsung p10 laptop. Cost me just under £500 in total including the second hand laptop.
The feed speed in this video is only 300mm/min because its the 1st ever cut done on the machine.
