A week ago, we lost our Batman.
This one hit me hard. "Batman: The Animated Series" was my favorite show growing up, and over the years I revisited it endlessly. While other actors had portrayed the character of Batman, Conroy was the first who truly define the voice of the Dark Knight, imbuing this classic hero of page and screen with an unmatched depth, power, and humanity.
I had the pleasure of meeting him at LA Comic Con several years ago, and he was as warm and kind as everyone says. Not only an incredible performer, but a wonderful human and kind soul. RIP.
