Experience a rare and intimate moment in the foothills of Alberta, where two wild horses share a bond built on loyalty, instinct, and quiet devotion. This film follows George Fritz, a powerful and deeply protective wild stallion, and his beloved mare Broken Arrow, as they navigate the challenges of winter and the constant presence of rival stallions.
In this footage, George Fritz confronts another stallion who approaches too closely, displaying the raw strength and determination that defines a band stallion. After driving the rival away, he “snakes” Broken Arrow back toward his band—an iconic piece of stallion behaviour used to protect and guide the mare he refuses to lose.
Together, George Fritz and Broken Arrow stand side by side in the cold snow, their breath swirling in the winter air as they pose in quiet unity.
A love story told not by words, but by instinct, body language, and the unwavering bond between two wild hearts.
