Welcome to Day 15 of Annabelle's Board and Rehab Program: Because of their pack-like mentality, dogs feel safer when confronting perceived threats while in the company of other group members. In today's video, I am using the "heel" command to travel with Annabelle as a form of social support through an environment filled with unfamiliar people and vehicles (stimuli that, before her rehab program, would terrify her). Exposure to once terrifying stimuli while under the control of specific medications, along with my encouraging her, will enable Annabelle's perception of the frightening stimuli to lessen significantly over time.
