Redkolehiya. Stand-Up: 120+ media professionals gathered to discuss industry challenges

On February 19, the seventh Redkolegia. Stand-Up took place — Ukraine's No.1 event for the media and communications community, co-organized by Media Center Ukraine and UNIT.City Innovation Park

More than 120 participants attended the event, including journalists, communications specialists, public activists and government officials. The main question discussed was: what challenges will we face in 2025 and how can we adapt to them? Once again, we gathered in a stand-up format, where each guest could express his thoughts to honestly and openly assess the state of Ukrainian journalism.

In the format of a collective discussion, we addressed the changes the world and Ukraine are facing after Trump's return, the reduction of grant funding and potential new sources of support for Ukrainian media, Meta's new moderation rules and the situation on social media, as well as other pressing issues.

An important part of the discussion were thematic sessions with invited speakers. Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov shared the stories behind their war zone photography and the realities of working on the front lines. Natalka Didenko explained how to turn dry meteorology into compelling storytelling. Oleksii Antypovych of the Rating Group presented new sociological data on Ukrainian public opinion. Ivanna Naida spoke about launching children's television in wartime conditions. Oleksandr Hlyvynskyi gave an insight into the state of sports journalism in Ukraine.
