Caring for the Future: Data and Evidence to Increase Investments in Just, Equitable and Sustainable Care Economies and Societies.

The virtual webinar was held during the 79th regular session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA79) and the Summit of the Future, which showcased the applications and country findings of a UN Women-ILO policy tool for estimating the social and economic returns of investing in care services. Additionally, findings and insights from the Asia and Pacific Region on producing and using comprehensive data as pathways to action for caring economies were shared.

Co-convened by UN Women, the International Labour Organization (ILO) with the support of the Global Alliance for Care.

“Cuidar el futuro: Datos y pruebas para aumentar las inversiones en economías y sociedades del cuidado justas, equitativas y sostenibles.”

El webinario virtual se realizó en el marco del el 79º período ordinario de sesiones de la Asamblea General (AGONU79) y la Cumbre del Futuro, en el mismo se presentaron las aplicaciones y los resultados nacionales de una herramienta política de ONU Mujeres y la OIT para estimar los beneficios sociales y económicos de la inversión en servicios de cuidado. También se compartieron los resultados y las ideas de la región de Asia y el Pacífico sobre la producción y el uso de datos exhaustivos como vías de acción para las economías del cuidado.
