Olympic Couple Tara and Hunter Almost Didn’t Survive 4 Years Apart

From the coolest couple on YouTube to the coolest couple at the Olympics - Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis are athletic royalty.

Tara is competing in Tokyo’s Olympic games, and Hunter in the Paralympics, and while these two might seem like your favourite romcom couple, they’ve spend their entire romance living no closer than five hundred and twenty five miles apart! So how did these two manage their long distance romance?

The couple first laid eyes on eachother in 2017 at a high school track meet in Idaho. Tara remembers that it was his birthday, and a lot of people were telling him ‘happy birthday,’ the announcer even gave him multiple shout outs! At the meet, Hunter won the 400 meter dash, and a brave Tara approached him saying “I just need to give you a hug.” Pretty impressive for a 16 year old high school student! Tara later told Elle that when she first saw her now boyfriend “[she] was like ‘Oh my god! This boy is fine! I had to figure out who he was.”
