On 10/18/2025 the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Florida Panthers 3-0. Josh Doan scored 2 power play goals and Owen Power added a 3rd while Alex Lyon recorded his first shutout as a Sabre, becoming the 31 Buffalo Sabre to record a shutout. The Sabres were buoyed by tremendous penalty kill contributions from Bek Malenstyn, Tyson Kozak, Conor Timmins, and Mattias Sammuelsson. Rasmus Dahlin also played a large role as it was his drawing Brad Marchand into a penalty which directly led to the Sabres 2nd goal. The Sabres will look to extend their 2 game winning streak on Monday in Montreal.
