Brahms' description of this work as "the lullaby of all my sorrows"' underscores the intimate confessional character of this piece.
My hope is that hearing/seeing it in a short video might allow the listener a deeper experience of it as if in a living room rather than large concert hall.
If so I hope they will share my sense of awe and wonder at this masterpiece of Brahms' last years.
