Welcome to my project presentation!
This video demonstrates my Smart Home Automation System built using Arduino Uno, DHT11 sensor, Ultrasonic sensor, LDR sensor, Servo motor, LEDs, and a 16x2 LCD display.
🔧 Project Overview
The goal of this project is to automate basic home functions such as:
Turning ON the fan automatically when the temperature rises above 30°C
Switching ON the light when it's dark and motion is detected
Simulating door movement using a servo motor
Displaying real-time readings on the LCD screen
💻 Key Components
Arduino Uno
DHT11 Temperature & Humidity Sensor
Ultrasonic Distance Sensor
LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)
Servo Motor
2 LEDs (Fan and Light indicators)
16x2 LCD Display
⚙️ Software Used
Arduino IDE for coding
PICSimLab for simulation and testing
🧠 How It Works
Temperature & Humidity Control:
The DHT11 sensor detects temperature. If it goes above 30°C, the fan turns ON automatically.
Light Automation:
The LDR detects low light, and if someone is detected nearby, the light turns ON.
Door Simulation:
The servo motor mimics a door opening and closing when motion is detected.
Display:
All readings are shown on the LCD, including temperature, humidity, distance, and light level.
🌐 Future Improvements
Cloud data logging using ThingSpeak
IoT mobile app control
Integration with voice assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant
Addition of gas or fire sensors for safety
🎓 Project Purpose
This project was created as part of my internship program to demonstrate practical knowledge of IoT, embedded systems, and home automation concepts.
🏁 Conclusion
This project shows how sensors and automation can make our homes smart, efficient, and energy-saving.
