Assalam-u-Alaikum and Hello everyone! Welcome back to a glimpse of our cross-cultural life in the mountains of Weining, Guizhou.
In this video, you'll see the journey of our potatoes from the ground to our plate! I head out to our field to collect the potatoes we've grown. Then, my amazing husband (who is from the local Hui community) takes over, meticulously washing and peeling them. The cooking magic is handled by my brother-in-law, who whips up a traditional and tasty dish.
It's a beautiful thing when family comes together to make a meal, blending our Pakistani and Hui Chinese traditions. I hope you enjoy seeing our simple and happy village life.
