Welcome to our latest vlog where we tackle the task of dehorning our adult goats Pippie & Maggie! 🐐✨🐐
Unlike those who were disbudded at birth, our goats are getting a horn makeover with a method frequently used on cattle, but just as effective on goats. Each goat is unique, so there's no set timeline for when their horns will fall off, but rest assured—they will! The fastest it happened for us was a swift 56 days! ⏱️
However, since I wasn't as diligent with checking the bands on some of the remaining horns, we're still in the process for a few of our goats. But that's all part of the journey!
