In this video, I take you deep into the heart of Karbala during the holy days of Muharram and Arbaeen — where food isn’t just tradition, it’s an experience. From giant shawarma and fully automated bread-baking machines to hot Nutella donuts and Lebanese kunafa, this is a journey of flavors you won’t forget.

📍 Mawkeb Khimat Abdullah Al-Radea — the largest mawkeb in the world:
✔️ Massive shawarma served as nazri (free offerings)
✔️ Giant machines baking 4,000 breads per hour
✔️ Hot nazri donuts filled with custard and topped with Nutella — honestly, the best donut I’ve ever had
✔️ World’s biggest kunafa made by a Lebanese chef

Then we visited Al-Saam Restaurant, the oldest and most iconic eatery in Karbala
Their Iraqi kebab with onion and tomato was incredibly juicy and flavorful — and only 6,000 Iraqi dinars

Next stop: Masgouf fish — freshly caught, marinated, and grilled the traditional Iraqi way over a massive charcoal pit.
I’ve had Masgouf in Dubai, but this was the real deal.

And to end the day: traditional Iraqi tea served as nazri in the streets of Karbala.
