This video discusses a sample problem on unsymmetrical parabolic curves.
Sample Problem on Unsymmetrical Parabolic Curves
An unsymmetrical parabolic curve has a forward and back tangent of -8% and 5%, respectively. The length of the curve on the left and right side is 40 m and 60 m, respectively. The PC is at STA 6+780 and has an elevation of 100 m. An outcrop is found at elevation 6+800 and has an elevation of 95 m. Determine the height of fill needed to cover the outcrop.
