This solution requires a 99 00 Climate Control unit, 2din Android head unit. Others are arduino(nano in this case), digital temperature sensor, 12V relay. This video basically demonstrates the software side.
This solution works only those in driving in tropical countries that don't need heater.
To be able to come up with this:
1. The air mix control knob needs to have its internal wires(5 white wires) cut and feed those 5 wires to arduino that process the combination connections to a common node/wire.
2. Arduino. I used Arduino Nano.
3. Digital temperature sensor. I used Max6675 module. https://shopee.ph/product/226548939/4...
4. LM35(optional). To measure system temperature
5. 12 relay. This controls the thermostat wires(shorts/opens the 2 wires)
I know this video is just a demo of the result but I hope this inspires others that it's not impossible to do such stuff to an old civic ek. Or even other old cars
