Dear Family, Friends and Members of our beloved Community of Medina,

We welcome you this evening to this place - a place that Gary "Mr. C" so loved. A place where thousands of student musicians gathered to make music together under his direction. On this first day of Summer, we celebrate Gary's legacy with a band concert and some of the music he loved and shared with his bands. A tribute to a remarkable educator, musician, mentor and friend.

Gary's family alongside the devoted members of the Medina Band Parents Association (Medina, OH), commissioned a piece of music to be composed by Gary's favorite composer, Mr. David R. Gillingham. The piece is in honor of Gary's unwavering dedication, passion, and transformative influence as a beloved husband, father and band director. Tonight, we are humbled and honored to perform the World Premier of Beyond Measure.

Gary's passing in August 2018 changed our lives forever. Thank you for sharing this band concert with us - thank you for sharing Mr. Ciulla with us as the band plays on.
