A Minke Whale found itself swimming the length of Musgrave Channel. These whales are common along the shores of Ireland and feed on small fish. We are guessing the whale found itself in the port due to the abundance of food in the area and the cleanliness of our waters. After contacting NIEA, we are positive that the whale is safe and well. We will continue to keep an eye on it.
