A look back at the Black Beacon Mountain Trail Races for 2022. Three race distances in total in the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons of South Wales.
The 50 mile route starts at 10pm in Hay on Wye, with runners crossing the Black Mountains at night before experiencing sunrise in the Brecon Beacons. The 32 mile route starts in Llangynidir, joining in the 50 mile route and the 21 mile route starts in Brecon, climbing the North ridge of Cribyn before joining the 50 and 32 mile routes. All routes cross onto Fan Fawr and Fan Lia before dropping into the waterfalls of Ystradfellte and finishing at Pontnedfecchan.
