Adding extra details to your scale model kits is great fun, and helps to make them totally unique creations. And, in this video I share how I designed and 3D printed a bespoke interior for a 1/72 scale Unimog fire truck from Ace Models.
Using the internet for reference, I designed a facsimile of the interior water tank and pump using Tinkercad software, which I printed – in resin – on my brand new Elegoo Mars 4 3D printer. You can also follow how I adapted the kit, cutting out the shutters for the interior, and fitting with the addition of extra details of a dry powder extinguisher and slide-out generator.
