One of the most intense versions of this famous song by Richard Rodgers is the one from the John Coltrane quartet, with the incredible rhythm of Elvin Jones's drums.
We are going to work on a drum loop that I've found on the app Drumgenius, precisely taken from Elvin's part. It's a jazz waltz, with a swinging and rolling triplets internal subdivision, that gives the whole piece a strong African impulse.

Structure:
Drum loop starts: 8 bars.
Then guitar intro on the first 4 bars, twice.
You can play the theme with me, or play the chords. A1, A2, B, and C.
Then we start to solo, staying only on the structure AAB. One chorus each.

As usually in these audio interactive backing tracks it's very important to concentrate on the rhythm and the structure: pay close attention to the "clave" in the drum loop!
It's just my acoustic guitar and the drums!
