Advance Design 2026.1 now lets you export your model directly to SAF, an open format that uses Excel spreadsheets. You’ll find the command on the BIM ribbon, so the process is quick and straightforward. The export includes your geometry, materials, cross-sections, loads, load cases and combinations. If you want, it can also include analysis results—linear, nonlinear, and envelope values. SAF is becoming a common standard across the industry because it’s transparent and easy to edit. Since it’s spreadsheet-based, you can open the file, review the data, and make small adjustments before importing it into another tool. Unlike proprietary formats, SAF improves interoperability and is more future-proof. With this option, you can reuse Advance Design models in many external tools for further analysis, design checks, or documentation
