Since I made a video about NFS 3 with 60fps I decided to do one with 4 aswell.
Similar to 3 driving at night causes the frames to dip quite hard as the console struggles to render all the extra lights n light sources.
So same thing as before the overclock in the Duckstation emulator is turned up to 400% to break past that built-in 30fps limit. Just like with 3 the police lights are spinning faster but since all of the tracks in NFS 4 are overall brighter the faster spinning lights are less of a eyesore.
Tho one issue that arises in 4 is the sound. Going to 60fps causes the audio lines for the police to glitch out and be either very delayed, appears too early or just abruptly stop.
If the broken voice lines get too annoying they can be muted of course in the options tho it does take a bit of the immersion of the cop chases away.
Still tho game runs very fine at 60fps with car handlings and collissions basically working as intended. Very fancy experiencing this classic at a more smoother framerate.
