Your love has made my heart its home.
I willingly drank this cup full of poison.
Come quickly, O physician, otherwise I shall die.

The sun has set, yet the reddish tinge of dusk still lingers.
I shall sacrifice myself unto you if you show me your face again.
I made a grave mistake, O Master, when I did not go with you.

who will bring back the boat adrift in stormy waters?
My wisdom has left me – it has gone with the ferryman.

In this forest of love, the peacock gives its call;
for me my Beloved is both qibla and Ka’ba.
After inflicting the grievous wound, you did not enquire after me.

O Bullah, the Lord has brought me to the door of Inayat,
who has made me wear garments of green and red.
When I danced a step, I found Him the same as ever.
