To keep safe the reservoir and from damage that could be due to weighted completion fluid; and to prevent the inadvertent production of fluids during completion operations.
COT® Involved LCIV Technology
Post R&D of the products , LCIV would minimize the rig time which is used for activation. The use of an LCIV Technology act as a barrier and permits the use of lighter without water-based annulus fluids, pay zone, and formation damage during the flow back to the running production, storage, and off-loading vessels.
This is also know as fluid loss control device and very useful in specially deep water and HP-HT environments, all type of wells, in underbalanced conditions. This can also work as a downhole greasy valve and as a safe medium to hold or temporarily abandon a well.
