Recently, a viewer asked me how he could create time intervals for every half-hour during the day. It is really easy to do this using AutoFill. Just remember to enter the times in two adjacent cells that indicate the "step value" for the series to fill.
Since my viewer indicated that he may be using a range of starting times, I demonstrate how to calculate the numeric value for 30 minutes. This way, you can use this decimal value in a formula to AutoFill or to create a new starting value.
Finally, I show you how Excel stores Time - as a "Decimal portion of one day."
Along the way, you will pick up some valuable Keyboard Shortcuts.
