[World Record] Super Luigi 64 The Flower Cup 1/3 Star (

Very frustrating and reset heavy category, met my sub 10 goal despite the mistakes in B2.

I decided to run this category just after I finished my playthrough of the game and going over the skips once. I went in without many expectations but also trying to beat the supposed unrecorded world record by Krystal from 2021. This turned into a week long grind where I just kept losing runs to the first and second BLJs, with the second one being the hardest and most inconsistent.

The reason this category is 1/3 Star is because you can theoretically beat the game by just collecting the ending star but it is slower since you have to do the prologue sequence from 0:08 to 0:58 every time instead of just once. You must reset after getting every key because save & quit doesn't work in this hack. However, there is a shortcut pipe to the fortress overworld near the spawn at 4:11 that appears at 2 stars, which saves backtracking time. So, I choose to get the 2 fastest stars possible in B1 to avoid going to a main course with a star select screen and losing more time. Getting these two stars saves about 30 seconds in a full run compared to doing the prologue sequence two additional times. Therefore, I end the run with 3 stars instead of one.
