This is a video of a Caterham 7 Supersprint. This car normally comes with a 1400cc engine however this one as been bored out to 1700 and tuned it now develops 175hp and weighs only 500KG. Great numbers if you're looking at Horsepower per tonne.
These things are fantastic and can be picked up at a reasonable price. Their lack of electronics and simplicity makes them great at maintaining for any semi-competent engine and car enthusiast.
Due to their low seating position and rather small 'cockpit' you don't drive a Caterham, you wear it! The noise, the vibration and the thrill has made people compare these to a spitfire!
