It's the world's biggest fish, weighing up to 60 tonnes. Yet it's called a 'gentle giant'. We went swimming with whale sharks, locally known as "Butanding", off Donsol town in the Philippine province of Sorsogon. And we discovered for ourselves why they earned the "gentle giant" tag.
