Opus Neo is an artistic production and distribution structure directed by pianist Olivier Maurel and based on the territory of the Alpes de Haute Provence in France.
Our creations is traveling and allowing us to meet eclectic audiences (national stage of Gap, Piano Lille festival, tour in Ukraine in partnership with the French Institute of Kiev and the French alliance of Odessa, Jazz festival in Porquerolles, tour in Italy in partnership with Marcovaldo ...)
The creations arise from encounters between musicians of different culture and practice, at the crossroads of jazz, traditional music and so-called learned music. (Piano & Mediterranean, Led Zep sessions, Gurdjieff project ...)

Gurdjieff Project

Music of silence and contemplation. Sacred music and brightness of the songs.
George Ivanovich Gurdjieff (1877-1949), of Greek-Armenian origin, made numerous expeditions to Egypt, Tibet, India, Afghanistan and many parts of Central Asia to try to trace the sources of lost knowledge. and unexplored potentialities. During these trips, he collects and assimilates the traditional music of the East.
In various temples and monasteries, he studies sacred art and specific forms of ritual, music and dance. After twenty years of research, we find Gurdjieff in Europe, carrying an elaborate teaching that links the esoteric knowledge of the East with the scientific methodology of the West.
