If you’re looking for a tried-and-true method on how to remove matts from your dog, we have that method for you! In today’s tutorial, Allison demonstrates her “5-step Method for Dematting”. In this method, you start with your “largest” tools and work your way to your “smallest” tools to get those matts and tangles out completely. This is a great way to keep your dog dematted whether it be for at-home maintenance grooming, grooming between dog shows, or grooming between trips to the groomer.
For this dematting method, we recommend using The Cure Brushing & Styling Milk (with your hands), the Ice Slipe brush with its unique pins for dematting, a pin brush such as the Breezy Brush, a slicker like the incredible Big G, and to finally check your work with a comb such as the versatile #000 fine/coarse dual comb.
