La Tour-de-Peilz, and Le Locle Switzerland - Horse steak on the menu and a 400 year old cave mill

In the spring of 2023 Duke and I took an eight and a half week trip. We started in Morocco and ended in the Czech Republic. In this video we are traveling with our friends Rick and Elaine from Chamonix, France to Le Locle, Switzerland.

In La Tour-de-Peilz on Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) we stayed at Hôtel Bon Ravage. The next mornings we watched rowers from our window.

From La Tour-de-Peilz we drove to Le Locle where we stayed at Guesthouse Le Locle. We had drinks at Café Marché and dinner at Au Moka. Au Moka had horse steak on the menu.

We went for a drive in the countryside around Le Locle and stopped for coffee at Champ du Moulin in Areuse Gorge. Then we went to the Farmers and Crafts Museum in La Chaux de Fonds. I was able to try lace making. The last thing we did near Le Locle was visit the underground mill and factory at Col des Roches. We got to go down in the caves and see the restored mill. For dinner we went to Crêperie Le Lion d'Or and had galettes.
