Mid-March Flower Farm Tour, Update, and how i am coping with this CRAZY March Weather!

It is March 13th and here in zone 5, the weather has been abnormally warm. The tulips are 6" out of the ground. The allium are showing many leaves, Yarrow is starting to emerge, and Daffodils are ready to pick! This is the first year I have been worried that my tulips may not be able to withstand the huge fluctuations in temperature. The temperature will go from a 73 degree high to a 22 degree low after weeks of weather in the 40s to 60s. In this video, I take note of what stage the tulips are at before colder temperatures hit and what I plan to do to try to ensure I have blooms to sell. It may not work but I am going to cover my tulips from the cold for the first year in my flower farming career. Normally I wouldn't worry but normally I am looking at tulip foliage in April, not tulips in March. It is an exciting and strange year to be flower farming but I am trying to take note of steps I am taking to save my tulips and take note of how things do in this warm to cold climate.
