Cooke SP3 vs Panchro FF - What's Different?

We all know the differences on paper - the small T-stop diff, the impressive size/weight (and build quality!) of the sp3's - and of course, the price difference. Meanwhile the panchro FF's offer a more robust housing, and more focal lengths. We know the SP3's were made to match the Panchro FF's. However, I wasn't satisfied w/ the tests done thus far online - so I conducted my own. The others showed how the SP3's are similar to the Panchro FF's, but I also wanted to know how they are DIFFERENT, and if any sacrifices were made to slim down the size so much. Some of the videos I saw felt like they were crafted to make the SP3's shine, while another very comprehensive one seemingly put in all iterations of panchros except the relevant one (the panchro/i classic full frame's), perhaps intentionally..

My thoughts on SP3's:
Amazing size, weight, and this is less talked about - but build quality is stellar as well! Certainly a great entry into the Cooke world. Great for gimbal work and tight spaces and run & gun.

However, I would stop short of saying they're a full match for the Panchro FF's. For me, character is everything. If I want clean and sharp, there are obviously other options like Sigmas, Vistas, Supremes. And that last 10-15% difference in character between lenses is everything to me, and on higher-end productions. Not just between these two sets, but between all lenses in general. While there are many similarities between SP3's and Panchro FF's, users certainly need to be aware of the differences when using them together on projects. But its certainly doable. Also, I think the SP3's are rated roughly a 1/2 stop generously. They are not as bright as Panchros at matching T-stops, and also have visibly less bokeh as well.

Ultimately, if I could improve a few things about the SP3's, it would be:
1. Would like to see more of the "cooke look", especially in the falloff and flaring. That "small" 10-20% difference is 100% to me.
2. LPL mount. I think this is a massive oversight. But from what I hear from multiple sources, it might be possible - but I don't understand why this wasn't the plan (and only mount) from the start.
3. Accurate T-Stop markings (whether it be the SP3's are generously marked, or Panchros' are undermarked, but I highly doubt the latter)

Well done on Cooke for a very nice set of incredibly small and light lenses! I think many, many will love them.
