I wanted them to have a happy ending, which I thought they deserved. But in the process, I realized that I needed to leave the story as it was with the ending that we were shown. And years after making the video, I understand that it was the right choice. Understanding that there will be a divorce at the end allows you to feel their story more keenly. Appreciate the moments of their happiness. Appreciate history. After all, in fact, it is not the final point that is important, the path itself is important. Was it interesting? Was it breathtaking? Was it worth the effort?

And speaking of Barney and Robin, the answer to all questions is YES!

This couple was not conceived by the creators of the series, it developed on its own. Two people running away from duties and serious relationships find themselves first together in bed, and then in a serious relationship and even in marriage. They had ups and downs. They came and went. They were secretly in love with each other at different times, lied, and plotted in order to be with their soulmate. Their story began in the first season, when they first spent an evening together as friends, and ended in the ninth, along with the series finale. And I am grateful to the creators of the series and the actors for this beautiful story.
