Shrimp fishing and U.L fishing in the Chao Phraya River Thailand with Mr Beee.

Hi guys. Back out on the Chao Phraya River but this time around with a new boat man Mr Beee. Mr Bee had just had his boat refurbished and it was looking very shiny. Unfortunately, over the 2 days the water hyacinth had built up lining the banks and at points making the river look more like a farm field that a river. We where having difficulty finding fishable spots and when we did find the spots the fish where not so interested. Maybe the Hyacinth possibly the recent rains I don’t know but where you would normally be getting archer fish under ever platform it was hard to get a follow and even harder to get a bite. The 2nd day we decided to try out hand at shrimp fishing but again the hyacinth was getting in the way and even when we did find a clear patch the carp coming down the river mid water column was making seeing a real bite from a shrimp very difficult. Just 30 seconds after dropping the line in the water it would have lots of plant matter caught on the line. Still, it was good to see the shrimp fishing technique and get out on the river. Mr Bee seems like a good lad, and I will be using him again in the future. He is 1500B a day so a little cheaper than Mr Nat, but his boat is also smaller and not as stable. Perfect for 1-2 guys fishing where as Mr Nat’s boat could hold 3 comfortably.
