A while back, I ordered a BYOGuitar JEM style kit and turned it into a replica of Steve Vai's Ibanez LACS "Woody" JEM. I installed the pickups I had available at the time and used an adhesive that looked like burl wood for the pickguard and headstock. I was never really fully satisfied with the look, so I eventually installed three correct black pickups into a new pickguard made from real maple. I also took the adhesive off the maple headstock and lightly stained it. I then applied a new Ibanez decal. Thanks for watching again and I hope you enjoy the video!
