✨ I am asked all the time how we 'survive' as a large family nearly every time I meet a new person and they find out that I have 11 children. ✨
I hope that my video encourages you and if you have any tips of your own please feel free to comment below ❤️
Here is my list:
✨ 1. LIve below our means
✨ 2. We do without (wait to save up, or entirely miss out)
✨ 3. We look after the stuff that we already own
✨ 4. We very rarely buy junk food
✨ 5. We very rarely buy any take away food
✨ 6. We are not on any medication
✨ 7. Eat almost all meals at home with real ingredients (no packet mixes or frozen meals)
✨ 8. Never have take away coffees
✨ 9. No credit cards
✨ 10. No personal loans
✨ 11. I primarily buy things secondhand
✨12. I buy gifts through out the year (end of season, after Christmas sales)
✨ 13. We don't buy gifts for everyone
✨ 14. Make homemade gifts
✨ 15. Buy in bulk
✨ 16. Buy a whole cow at a time
✨ 17. Properly store food to reduce any food waste (we also compost)
✨ 18. I use my rewards card and flybuys card to my advantage
✨ 19. I take donations to Savers to get a 20% off voucher
✨ 20. Shop local
✨ 21. Comare prices
✨ 22. Clean, mend, polish, tidy and look after our things
✨ 23. Don't upgrade tech often
✨ 24. No manicures, pedicures, facials or beauty treatments
✨ 25. Read reviews before purchasing
✨ 26. Practice being myself and not trying to keep up with new trends
✨ 27. Inexpensive, in house hobbies
✨ 28. DIY
✨ 29. We do our own home maintenence
✨ 30. No gardener
✨ 31. No mechanic
✨ 32. Regularly wash vehicles by hand at home
✨ 33. Pay cash for vehicles and buy secondhand cars
✨ 34. Invest in quality
✨ 35. Pass down clothes (handmedowns)
✨ 36. We have routines
✨ 37. Mend things as needed
✨ 38. Never shop when hungry
✨ 39. Use a shopping list
✨ 40. Menu plan
✨ 41. Have savings
I am sure there are many other things we do to save money. All these little things add up to a lot of savings.

Hello friends! My name is Katherine and together with my husband, Ben we have 11 children. We live in Australia but as a child I lived in Canada (that explains my accent).
We enjoy living simply, second hand shopping, frugal living and raising wonderful, confident and lovely children that we home school.
I am grateful for each and every one of you and I encourage you to follow along and subscribe.
