The 13th December marked the final day of passenger service operations of the former intercity 125 class 43s in England.
After almost 50 years of traffic in England, the class 43s are finally retiring from service. Formed out of two class 43 power cars and 4 mk3 coaches, the HSTs have proved excellent for long distance commuter trains for the last seven years running as Castle Sets.
