Biomass Poultry Farm: This poultry broiler farm, has made huge fuel savings by switching from gas heating to wood biomass in the form of wood chip. Three boilers were installed so the required temperature depending on demand is controlled by Euroheat`s sequencing controller. The heat from the boilers is indirect and dry so there is less need to ventilate the chicken sheds and the health of the birds is improved as a by product. These benefits are small in comparison to revenue given from the government in the form of commercial RHI payments.
