Great Systems, Boring Core | Feels Like a Free Phone Game [Legends of Dragaea: Idle Dungeons]

This game actually has a ton of cool stuff going on under the hood. Loads of classes, tons of upgrades, and plenty of depth when it comes to abilities and progression. The problem is the core gameplay. It’s just not fun to actually play. You sit there watching your characters fight through dungeons, and that’s it. No real interaction, no leveling or tweaking mid run, just watching.

I lasted about an hour on the normal mode before boosting the game’s rates to speed things up and see what else it had to offer. And to be fair, it does have a lot. But it’s buried under a gameplay loop that gets old fast. If this wasn’t an idle game, I’d honestly play it a lot more because the systems are genuinely interesting.

Then there’s the price. Ten bucks feels steep when games like this are usually free on mobile. No microtransactions is nice, but this really feels like something that should be on a phone, not PC. It’s got potential, and if they ever make the dungeon grind interactive or more engaging, it could be great. But right now, it’s just not there.

This is a chill, relaxed gameplay video in 4K 60FPS; Few QoL edits, no commentary, just the game itself. The focus here is on enjoying the visuals, music, and atmosphere without distractions.

This channel isn’t about chasing views or the algorithm. It’s about appreciating games.

Future projects will include:
• FFXIV Story: The story is edited to focus on the voiced dialogue, with nearly all non-voiced text read aloud and shown on screen. First-person segments are included in certain places to capture the atmosphere of each zone, lined up with the major parts of the story to show where key moments take place. It keeps the pacing smooth and natural, connecting each voiced cutscene to the next while keeping a clear sense of place and immersion.
• Starting with Dawntrail, eventually covering all expansions in New Game+.
• Zone Explorations- First-person exploration of zones, finding details and mapping everything out. All of these that are shot from the ground are my first time exploring the zone. Later, I plan to release compilations with day/night music overlays.

I’ll be doing a lot of FFXIV here, and over time covering Final Fantasy I-XVI. I’ll also jump into A LOT of other games; whatever I’m currently hooked on.

The Edits are a very new experiment I am trying, PLZ give me feedback on what works and what you like and what is jarring or just looks bad. I'm trying out jump edits on the 24 man raids mostly, taking off UI and looking around at everything. Also trying to get some good first person camera shots as well.
