​Alibaug isn't just a destination; it’s an emotion. Located in the Raigad district, this coastal town is famous for its black sand beaches, historic forts, and lush coconut groves. It’s the perfect blend of peace and play. Whether you want to sit quietly by the waves or go full-throttle on a scooter, Alibaug has a vibe for everyone.

​🏖️ KIHIM BEACH: A Hidden Paradise
​While Alibaug has many beaches, Kihim Beach holds a special place in our hearts. Known for its dense cover of coconut and casuarina trees, Kihim feels more private and wild compared to the main town beaches.
​We spent hours here just soaking in the atmosphere. The sand is soft, the water is inviting, and the sound of the waves is the best therapy you could ask for. It’s also a haven for nature lovers—if you look closely, you can spot beautiful butterflies and rare birds hiding in the greenery.
​🐎 HORSE RIDING ON THE SHORE
​We couldn't leave Kihim without trying the classic beach experience—Horse Riding! There is something so majestic about trotting along the shoreline with the waves splashing at the horse’s hooves. Whether you’re a pro or a first-timer, the local guides make it super easy and fun. Seeing the beach from that height, with the breeze hitting your face, was easily one of the highlights of the trip.
​🌅 THE ALIBAG SUNSET (The Main Event)
​As the day came to a close, we settled down on the sand for the grand finale. The sunsets in Alibaug are legendary. We watched as the sky turned from a bright blue to shades of fiery orange, soft pink, and deep purple.
​Sitting there with my friends, watching the sun dip into the Arabian Sea, reminded me why we travel. It’s not just about the places; it’s about the people you’re with and the peace you find in those quiet moments.
​📝 TRAVEL TIPS FOR YOUR TRIP:
​If you’re planning your own Alibaug trip with friends, here are a few things we learned:
​Transport: Take the ferry from Gateway of India or Ro-Ro ferry from Bhaucha Dhakka (M2M Ferries) if you want to bring your car/bike!
​Scooter Rentals: You can find rentals near the Alibaug bus stand or Mandwa jetty. Don't forget to carry your license!
​Food: Don't miss the authentic Konkani seafood and Solkadhi.
​Best Time: October to March is perfect weather-wise, but the monsoon (July-Sept) makes the greenery pop like crazy!
