700 Sq Ft 3-Car Garage Epoxy Floor Transformation | Part 1: Surface Prep

We’re kicking off a stunning 700 sqft, 3-car garage floor makeover, and it’s going to be a glassed-out beauty when finished. This metallic epoxy system will feature SnowDrift White, XPS Black Pearl, and CM 101 Metallic Silver pigments, applied with 12 kits at 75 sqft per kit (25 sqft per gallon) for perfect coverage.

In Part 1, we focus on surface preparation — the most important step to ensure your epoxy bonds properly and lasts for years.

We’re using:
🔹 2 Segment 16 Grit PCD Diamonds
🔹 8 Segment Medium Diamonds

Both can be easily mounted on the XPS Concrete Genie Grinder to grind the top surface of the existing flake coating. Our goal is to remove the sealer layer, roughen the surface, and create the perfect profile for the new epoxy.
